What is it?
-----------

Widgeteer is a simple framework for extensible (compound) HTML form elements 
(widgets). Widgeteer doesn't so much make it easier to implement compound form 
elements, but does provide a generic solution for graceful degradation (meaning
it will display something useful in non-JS-capable browsers, although the
usefulness depends on the complexity of the widgets) and retaining data on page
reload and does that in a way that will allow treating even the most complex
widgets in a similar manner.

Installation
------------

Installing the library is a matter of including a <script> tag in your document
that includes the library. When the library is loaded, an onload event handler
should take care of initialization (this will search for placeholders and 
replace them with the complex widgets) and an onunload handler for 
serialization (writing contents of the complex widgets back to the placeholder
elements) and cleanup.

For an example of a setup with a simple compound form element, see the 
'test.html' document.

Usage
-----

To use the library, you'll have to write (or download) widgets that use the
framework. See 'widgeteer.js' for a detailed description of the API.
